LPG Boilers ...
Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a combination of propane and butane stored under moderate pressure. Because LPG is about 250 times denser as a liquid than a gas, it means you can keep quite a large quantity in a relatively small space. It is a viable alternative for rural homes, who are off the natural gas ‘grid’. LPG gas has the lowest carbon emissions of all fossil fuels available to rural homeowners, emitting around 20% less CO2 per kWh than heating oil. We’re seeing a number of customers move from oil supplied boilers to LPG.
That’s what makes LPG boilers the ideal solution for homes of all sizes. All you need is a storage tank and fuel feed. LPG tanks usually hold between 1000 to 2000 litres and are refilled by tanker delivery, which can be automated to avoid the need to remember to reorder (a GSM signal is required). Alternatively they can be fuelled from exchangeable bottles and cylinders. Either way you are free to shop around for the best fuel deal whenever you want to.
LPG boilers are renowned for being better for the environment as they are clean and burn completely. Theft and leaks are also virtually impossible from the storage tanks used for LPG.
In addition, because the fuel flows under greater pressure than standard mains gas, the boiler jets are smaller so running costs compare favourably with conventional natural gas boilers. All leading boiler manufacturers including Worcester Bosch and Vaillant offer LPG gas boiler models
